· Provide advice and guidance to Indepenlved liaising with other agencies, e.g. Speech and Language, Psychologists, and Portage.
· I was able to share my extensive experience as a primary/early years teacher to work with parents and practitioners to devise activities that would stimulate all children, basing the planning on their observations of children s play.
· I developed good relationships and received much praise and appreciation in this role, much of which was verbal. It was very rewarding.

· Although I was primarily employed as an advisory teacher for special needs, my remit extended to mentoring and assessing Early Years settings using the Quality Assurance Scheme.
· The aim of the scheme was to provide support, training and coaching to enable nursery settings to improve their practice in all areas of the curriculum and to achieve the WSCC kitemark award.
· There were elements of general management including all aspects of health and safety, policies and procedures that had to be assessed at a high standard to achieve this award.
· I co-wrote and delivered training to the practitioners on various aspects of child development, inclusion and the Foundation Stage Curriculum.
